Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna confirm baby news

A representative for Blac Chyna has confirmed she is pregnant with Rob Kardashian's baby.

The model began dating the reality TV star in January (16) and they stunned fans last month (Apr16) by announcing their engagement after a whirlwind romance.

On Friday (06May16), reports surfaced suggesting Chyna, real name Angela White, was expecting the couple's first child together - and now the news has been made official.

"I can confirm she's pregnant and of course she's happy," her spokesperson told People.com, shortly after the parents-to-be hinted the news was true by posting an animated image of Chyna bearing a bulging stomach on their Instagram accounts.

In the accompanying caption, the model simply shared an emoji of a baby, while Rob, 29, also added a bride icon.

Sources told TMZ.com the 27-year-old had been planning to make the announcement on Sunday (08May16), as she celebrated Mother's Day holiday.

The child will be Chyna's second - she also shares three-year-old son King Cairo with her ex-fiance, rapper Tyga, who is now in a relationship with Rob's half-sister, Kylie Jenner.

The Rack City hitmaker proved there were no hard feelings by congratulating his former lover on her engagement in early April, and on Friday afternoon, he took to Instagram to comment on his ex's latest news.

"Congratulations," he posted, alongside a streamer emoji.

Tyga and Chyna dated from late 2011 and they became engaged shortly after the birth of little King Cairo in October, 2012. The couple split in 2014.

The rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan has remained silent over the pregnancy shocker, which comes as Rob's sisters Kim, Kourtney and Khloe enjoy a vacation in Cuba.

Ironically, the news of the couple's engagement also hit headlines while the rest of the family was on a break in Vail, Colorado.

Meanwhile, the mum-to-be's mother, Tokyo Toni, is cooing about the fact she's set to be a grandma again.

She took to social media on Friday (06May16) and wrote: "I just got off the phone with my daughter, Blac Chyna, and son-in-law-to-be Rob. Congratulations, guys. They told me 'You're about to be a grandma.' I'm super excited for them, and I cannot wait for this new addition to the family."

She later added: "As well, I'd like to congratulate the other side of the family, which are the Kardashians and the Jenners. Congratulations guys, we're having a baby."
