Rita Ora to host revamped America's Next Top Model - report

Rita Ora has reportedly signed on to be the host of the revamped America'S Next Top Model.

The 25-year-old singer is no stranger to the small screen, having previously acted as a judge on U.K. talent shows The Voice and The X Factor. And now Rita is apparently going to be boosting her profile Stateside by landing the prestigious hosting role on the revamped program.

According to Britain's The Sun newspaper, Rita will be replacing supermodel Tyra Banks as the presenter of the show, which was axed from network The CW last year (15) after 12 years on air.

However, it was later picked up by VH1, and the new season will air on the channel this fall (16).

"Rita is in a dream world as she’s landed the ultimate gig," a source told the publication. "She’ll be mixing her two passions of fashion and music and taking over from a TV institution in Tyra.

"Next Top Model bosses wanted to inject some freshness back into the format and they see Rita as the ideal new face. She is releasing a new single later this year to coincide with it."

Tyra, who created America's Next Top Model in 2003 and has enjoyed huge success as the format was picked up worldwide, previously reassured fans that she is going to be heavily involved in the revamped show.

As well as being executive producer of the next season, Tyra had the job of choosing her host replacement.

"I’m pumped to identify that person and bring back the show," Tyra said earlier this year (16). "Top Model fans, you demanded that the show come back and VH1 answered the call. Get ready for a fierce-a-fied rebirth!"

Rita's last television role saw her judging singing hopefuls on The X Factor last year (15). But she quit the panel for the upcoming season of the ITV show, saying that she wanted to concentrate on her music career.
