Rita Ora feared the worst after Iggy Azalea's stage fall

Rita Ora was convinced she would have to scrap her second prizegiving performance in as many weeks after her collaborator Iggy Azalea fell off stage two days before the MTV Video Music Awards.

The R.I.P. hitmaker had to axe her set at the Teen Choice Awards earlier this month (Aug14) after her ex-boyfriend, DJ Calvin Harris, refused to grant her permission to sing their collaborative track I Will Never You Let You Down.

She had also booked an awards appearance with Azalea at the VMAs, but Ora feared she would have to scrap that performance too after the Australian rapper took a nasty tumble during a benefit concert two days before the big show.

However, Azalea was not seriously hurt and the pair was able to take to the stage together to perform their track Black Widow on Sunday night (24Aug14).

Ora tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "Bless her. I was just happy she was OK because, God forbid, we couldn't perform together after all that. Can you imagine? We've been doing three performances a day together to make sure when we release this song it was about unity. To us, this is a duet about female empowerment. We wanted to do a song where it's two blondes coming together as a unit."
