Rihanna's the toast of Texas after bumper bar tip

Rihanna delighted staff at a bar in Austin, Texas by leaving a $200 tip.

The Umbrella singer partied with friends at the city's The Lodge on 6th bar on Friday night (13May16) ahead of her gig at the Frank Erwin Center arena on Saturday (14May16).

According to TMZ.com, the 28-year-old R&B superstar had a relaxed evening with her entourage at the nightspot, as their total bar bill only came to $82.25.

Although she was laying off the alcohol ahead of her show, the Barbadian musician was generous to staff at the traditional Texan watering hole, and left a tip of $200.

Editors at the gossip site report the singer and her crew arrived in the club around 1.15am and stayed, casually interacting with fans while sipping Jameson whisky mixed with cola until last orders at the bar were called at 2am.

Despite her relatively late night, the star appeared to show few ill-effects at her gig on Saturday, earning rave reviews from Austin's local press.

Her Anti world tour continues with a date in New Orleans, Louisiana on Tuesday (17May16), her penultimate date in the U.S.ahead of a brief break before the tour moves to Europe in June (16).
