Rihanna channels Kerry Washington at the White House

Rihanna documented her visit to Washington, D.C. on Monday (10Nov14) by channeling Kerry Washington's Scandal character.

The Diamonds hitmaker could not resist hosting an impromptu photo session mirroring the political TV drama.

In a post on Instagram.com, Rihanna shared pictures of herself using a payphone outside the White House, along with the caption, "Fitz, darling..." referring to fictional President Fitzgerald Grant, played by Tony Goldwyn, who is the lover of Olivia Pope, played by Washington.

Rihanna went on to reference other characters in the show, including White House Press Secretary Abby Whelan as she posed at the podium in the real White House Press Room.

The pop star's final picture featured a group of family and friends who joined her on the tour of the President's residence with a group shot in a library in the West Wing, along with the caption, "West Wing Posse!! We wanna be O.P.A. so bad!!!", referring to Pope's company, Olivia Pope and Associates.

The Scandal-themed pictures come days after the singer returned to the photo-sharing app following a six-month break over a dispute about the site's nudity rules.
