Riddick beats The Butler at the box office

Vin Diesel's sci-fi action film Riddick has ended The Butler's run at the top of the box office.
The movie star helped fund the film and his gamble has partly paid off - Riddick has opened with $18.7 million , giving Diesel his second number one film of 2013. Fast & Furious 6 also hit the top.
Lee Daniels' The Butler serves up $8.9 million and slips a spot to
second, while Eugenio Derbez's smash-hit Spanish-language movie
Instructions Not Included rises to three.
The film has already become the 10th highest-grossing foreign
language film at the United States box office in just 10 days.
Jennifer Aniston comedy We're the Millers holds onto fourth place
and Planes rounds out the new top five.
