Ricky Martin back on good terms with ex-boyfriend

Pop star Ricky Martin is back on good terms with his ex-boyfriend Carlos Gonzalez after mending the rift between them for the sake of his two sons.

The long-term couple's split was confirmed in early 2014, six years after the Livin' La Vida Loca hitmaker became a father to twin boys, Matteo and Valentino, via a surrogate, and Martin has revealed relations between the pair were frosty for a year after the break-up.

However, Martin and Gonzalez have now made up and become friends for the sake of the boys.

The singer tells Britain's The Sun newspaper, "He comes to see the kids. There was a year of silence but now we're buddies. I try to keep my life very civilised, that's what I need for the well-being of my children."

Martin also reveals he is actively looking for love again, adding, "I am single now after seven years. I meet people. I'm fine. I meet very handsome men. I like to have a conversation, looking into someone's eyes and finding out their sense of humour... We're all men. It's in our DNA to go for it. But I have two boys and I cannot bring different men every day into my house."
