Rapper Tyga places pet tiger in animal shelter

Written by . Published: April 26 2014

Rapper Tyga has bid farewell to his pet tiger and placed it in a private animal shelter.

The hip-hop star received a visit from California Wildlife authorities last week (ends18Apr14) after they were tipped off to claims he had been housing the big cat illegally at his Ventura County home.

However, the Rack City hitmaker, who has been sharing pictures of the animal with fans on his Instagram.com blog since early March (14), reportedly told the warden he had already parted ways with the tiger, according to TMZ.com.

It is not yet clear if Tyga, real name Michael Nguyen-Stevenson, will face any charges for illegal possession of an exotic animal.
