Rapper French Montana has been hit with a lawsuit over his song Lockjaw.
Moroccan music producer Yo Asel claims the hitmaker sampled his 2014 song Sleep85 after he sent him the original via email, in an effort to collaborate with Montana.
He heard Lockjaw, which was used in video game WWE 2K17, and reportedly recognized his own work and now he has launched a lawsuit against the rapper, claiming his hit track contains a modified version of Sleep85's beat.
According to The Blast, Asel has reached out to Montana about the song, but he has not received a response and has been blocked on his social media accounts.
He is seeking unspecified damages and an injunction barring Montana from future profits.
