Rachel Weisz juggled Bourne shoots with Wizard of Oz
Bosses behind the new The Wizard Of Oz prequel re-arranged shoots so British actress Rachel Weisz could be part of the movie while she was also filming The Bourne Legacy.
The Constant Gardener star had signed up for the action movie before Disney chiefs approached her to play the Wicked Witch of the East in Oz: The Great and Powerful - and they were so eager to land her they let the busy working mom dictate her working hours.
She tells Britain's The Sun, "I was going between the two, so I did
two months on Oz, two months on Bourne, a month on Oz, a month on
Bourne. It was very schizophrenic because they are very different
genres.
"I had agreed to do Bourne, and then I read the Oz script and I was
like, 'Wow, I really love this wicked witch' and they managed to
make it work for me to do both films."
The upcoming fantasy drama is based on the books of L. Frank Baum
and tells the story previous to Judy Garland's famous 1939
film.
