Rachel Mcadams and Ryan Reynolds were inducted to the Canada Walk of Fame at a ceremony in Toronto on Saturday (18Oct14).

They landed stars on sidewalks in the city along with Canadian-American rock group The Band and late blues guitarist Jeff Healey, who died in 2008.

Mean Girls actress McAdams, who was born in London, Ontario, said of the honor, "To be recognized by your own country like this and to be put on this illustrious list of people that have come before is, I mean, is sort of beyond words for me."

Reynolds, who hails from Vancouver, added, "If you could ask me when I was 16 years old that I'd be standing here doing this right now, I'd just be lucky and happy that I lived this long, let alone to have this honor, so I'm excited."

Reynolds said of his sidewalk star, "It's pretty exciting - I can't wait to step all over me."

The Band stars Robbie Robertson and Garth Hudson were on hand for the unveiling of the group's star, while Healey was represented by members of his family.

Previous honorees include Celine Dion and William Shatner.
