Priyanka Chopra wants to make Bollywood movie with David Hasselhoff
Actress Priyanka Chopra wants to reteam with her Baywatch co-star David Hasselhoff in a Bollywood movie after discovering he's a big fan of Indian cinema.
The former Miss World, one of Bollywood's biggest stars, makes her Hollywood film debut in the new Baywatch revamp, which also features a guest appearance from original franchise star Hasselhoff.
The two actors didn't share any scenes together, but the 64-year-old made a point to reach out to the Indian beauty to introduce himself - and express his love of Bollywood.
"After he finished filming for the movie (Baywatch), he randomly called me," Priyanka recalled on U.S. morning show Live with Kelly and Ryan. "(He's) so sweet. I'd never met him, and (he) said that he loves India, loves Indian movies, and in my head I'm going, 'Hmm... The Hoff in a Bollywood movie? Could work!'"
The beauty didn't bring up the idea during the chat, but now she's had more time to think about it, she really believes she could be onto something.
"He was so serious about it...," Priyanka added.
Hasselhoff is beloved in India, thanks in part to his role in another classic TV series, Knight Rider, which helped him land the International Star of the Year prize at the Bollywood Movie Awards in New Jersey in 2005.
