Pitch Perfect 2 tops North American box office

Pitch Perfect 2 has hit the high notes with film fans, hitting the top of the North American box office in its opening weekend (15-17May15).
The sequel, which stars Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson and marks Elizabeth Banks' directorial debut, grossed $70.3 million, taking in more than the original film's entire domestic earnings, which totalled $65 million.
Mad Max: Fury Road, starring Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron, comes
in at number two with $44.4 million.
Avengers: Age of Ultron, Hot Pursuit and Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2
round out the new top five.
