Pitbull has eyewear company in his sights after alleged trademark infringement

Written by . Published: February 10 2015

Pitbull has hit bosses at eyewear company Oakley with a trademark infringement lawsuit for selling a line of sunglasses featuring the Latin rapper's name.

The Give Me Everything hitmaker filed the complaint in a Florida federal court on Monday (09Feb15), claiming bosses are promoting the line of sunglasses called "Pit Bull", knowingly implying that the Miami MC is still endorsing the product.

In the legal documents obtained by TMZ.com, Pitbull, real name Armando Perez, reveals Oakley served as a sponsor for one of his tours in 2009, and while he wore their products at the time, he does not promote the brand now.

Pitbull is asking for the discontinuation of the products, as well as any profits made from the "Pit Bull" line of sunglasses.

The rapper now has his own brand of signature shades, called Pitbull Dale Sunglasses.
