Phillip Phillips weds

Singer Phillip Phillips wed his long-term girlfriend in a ceremony at a plantation in Georgia on Saturday (24Oct15).

The 2012 American Idol winner married Hannah Blackwell at the Resora Plantation in Albany, Georgia, in front of 250 of their closest family and friends.

Editors at People.com confirmed the nuptials, and revealed that Hannah wore a Hayley Paige wedding dress as she exchanged personalized vows with the star.

The pair met almost seven years ago at an event organized by Phillip's sister, and they became engaged over the Christmas holidays last year (14).

The singer confirmed the engagement news by posting a photograph of the pair on Instagram.com, writing, "My best Christmas surprise is happening. We're engaged y'all! @HannahBlackwell!"

The newlyweds plan to jet off on their honeymoon next week, People.com reports.
