PETA officials lavish praise on Beyonce's new vegan food plan
A top official at the People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) has applauded Beyonce for encouraging fans to go vegan by launching her own plant-based healthy eating program.
The Drunk In Love hitmaker experienced the benefits of a meat and dairy-free diet in 2013, when she and her rapper husband Jay Z temporarily cut out all animal products from their meals, and on Tuesday (03Feb15), she announced she had teamed up with fitness trainer Marco Borges, the brains behind the 22 Days Nutrition plan, to launch a new vegan meal delivery service.
She said of the scheme, "I am so grateful that I took the challenge
and credit Marco with leading by example... He came up with a great
program to get people motivated to make better nutritional choices.
All you have to do is try. If I can do it, anyone can. I am excited
to partner with him."
The animal-friendly eating plan has won Beyonce the support of PETA
bosses, who have praised the superstar for urging others to try
more vegan foods.
Lisa Lange, Senior Vice President of PETA, tells WENN, "When
Beyonce and Jay Z want to look and feel their best, they eat vegan
- and Queen Bey has noted that her energy goes through the roof
when she sticks to plant-based meals.
"PETA is sure that Beyonce's latest venture will inspire people
around the world to explore healthy, humane vegan meals and see how
easy it is to look and feel flawless."
