Peaches Geldof felt mom's presence at wedding

Peaches Geldof felt her mother Paula Yates' presence when she wed rocker Thomas Cohen on Saturday (08Sep12) at the same church where her parents walked down the aisle.

The wedding took place at St Mary Magdalene and St Lawrence Church in the village of Davington in Kent, England, where her father Bob Geldof and mother Paula Yates had their marriage blessed in 1986 following their nuptials in Las Vegas.

Paula Yates' funeral also took place at the church following her death in 2000, and her ashes are held there, and Peaches Geldof is sure her mother was watching as she wed her partner.

She tells Britain's Hello! magazine, "It (the wedding) was especially emotional for me because this is where my mom married my dad, but also where her funeral was held. It means her spirit is in every part of the church - there are so many memories of her - so I felt very close to her.

"Mum's ashes are here too so it was incredibly moving and quite beautiful for me to know that, physically, as well as in spirit, she was with me. She was part of it all. I feel her presence all the time, but especially today... I know that she is watching over me and feeling so happy for us."
