Paulina Rubio: 'My divorce is still not finalised'
Latin superstar Paulina Rubio is still waiting to officially regain her single status after revealing her ex Nicolas Vallejo-Nagera has yet to sign their divorce papers.
The couple separated in 2012 after five years of marriage and reports suggested the divorce was finalized in March, 2013, with Rubio agreeing to pay the businessman $6,750 -a-month in spousal support for the next three years.
However, the Mexican singer admits she is still waiting for
Vallejo-Nagera to complete the divorce and custody process so she
and their three-year-old son Andrea Nicolas can move on with their
lives.
In an interview with actor-turned-TV personality Mario Lopez on
NuvoTV, she said, "I'm going to talk to you about this because we
are friends. I'm not divorced yet. It's been hard to struggle for
so long to sign the papers. It's been hard for the baby, but
hopefully things will be more quiet and more in balance."
Despite the failed union, Rubio, who is now dating fellow singer
Gerardo Bazua, insists she is still open to the idea of marriage in
the future, as long as she can find the right partner.
She continued, "I don't think it's just about commitment -
relationships are hard. Nobody is perfect. I am looking for someone
who will let me be, who understands my passion for the art."
