Paul Wesley and Phoebe Tonkin back together - report

Paul Wesley has reportedly reconciled with his The Vampire Diaries co-star Phoebe Tonkin after a couple of months apart.

The 34-year-old met the Australian actress on the set of the TV drama series in 2012 and they began dating the following year. In 2015, it was reported they were even engaged, after Phoebe was spotted with a sparkler on her ring finger, but last March, they allegedly called time on their four-year romance.

However, they were pictured holding hands while shopping at The Grove in Los Angeles on Tuesday (02May17), suggesting they were back together. Their reconciliation had been rumored in recent weeks after they were seen together at the Farmers Market in Los Angeles and at Madeo restaurant in West Hollywood.

The speculation stepped up further when Phoebe, 27, posted a picture of Paul sat next to her in the back of a car on Instagram last week. In the caption, she wrote, "Resting life dilemma face."

Prior to these recent sightings, the pair hadn't been seen in public together since December (16), when he spent Christmas in her native Australia, and they had stopped sharing pictures of each other on social media around that time.

"They are still good friends," a source told E! News in March. "The relationship just ran its course."

Phoebe joined The Vampire Dairies in a recurring role before joining the spin-off The Originals, which began in 2013 and is currently in its fourth season. Paul played vampire Stefan Salvatore in The Vampire Diaries from its 2009 premiere to its conclusion in March.

The actor was previously married to Pretty Little Liars actress Torrey DeVitto between 2011 and 2013, and she has since moved on with Dancing with the Stars professional Artem Chigvintsev, who she began dating in 2016.
