Paris Hilton in elevator drama

Paris Hilton has been caught up in another international drama after becoming stuck in an elevator in Beijing, China.

The former reality TV star, socialite and DJ was in an unnamed hotel's lift when it became stuck between floors. At first she and her fellow passengers were calm until building maintenance staff alerted everyone inside there was nothing they could do.

Hilton captured the frantic mood of herself and the other people by shooting a video she has posted online. The footage suggests worried Paris even started to pray.

The socialite and the other passengers were reportedly trapped in the elevator for almost an hour.

The drama comes just three months after Hilton was the subject of a mid-air prank that led to her screaming and crying on a plane over Dubai.

Egyptian TV personality Ramez Galal and the producers of his show, Ramez in Control, staged the practical joke after duping Paris into thinking the plane she was onboard during a sightseeing trip was about to crash.
