Lamar Odom wakes from coma - report

Khloe Kardashian's estranged husband Lamar Odom has reportedly awoken from a four-day coma.

A source tells People.com the basketball star is "conscious" and spoke to his wife from his hospital bed in Las Vegas on Friday afternoon (16Oct15). The news comes just hours after another insider told news outlets Odom had opened his eyes and asked to speak to his children.

The 35 year was taken to Sunrise Hospital after he was found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on Tuesday (13Oct15).

Up until Friday, the sportsman was breathing with the help of a ventilator, but now sources claim he is being weaned off life support.

Odom had cocaine and opiates in his system when he was admitted for emergency treatment on Tuesday, and he now faces police questioning and a possible arrest for his use of illegal substances.

He has been surrounded by family members and friends for days, and his estranged wife has been making medical decisions on his behalf.
