Paris Hilton endures travel trauma en route to Cannes

Socialite Paris Hilton endured a nightmare journey as she made her way to the Cannes Film Festival in France on Wednesday (14May14), losing a piece of luggage and nearly missing two flights.

The hotel heiress came close to missing her flight out of California after her car became stuck in traffic on the freeway en route to the airport, writing in a post on Twitter.com, "Rushing to the airport! So much traffic on the 405 (freeway)! I hope I don't miss my flight to Cannes! All other flights are sold out!" before later adding, "Yes! I made my flight! Cannes here I come."

However, after landing at London's Heathrow Airport, Hilton found herself running out of time as she rushed to her connecting flight to Nice, France: "Just landed in London. And now rushing to plane to fly to Cannes! Heathrow is such a big airport! Hope I don't miss this flight!"

Hilton made it to the plane in time, adding, "Yay! Made my flight! Next stop Cannes!... Hopefully the airline hasn't lost any of my luggage. Everytime I have landed here half my luggage is missing! Brutal."

However, the blonde beauty was in for disappointment after landing in Nice: "At baggage claim. One bag lost of out 10 suitcases. Not bad. Usually half my luggage gets lost here. Hopefully I get it returned by tonight."
