One Direction to release autobiography

One Direction are expanding their publishing empire by releasing two new books in 2014.

The boyband's first tome, Where We Are: Our Band, Our Story, which documented their rise to fame, was released last year (13), and they are now set to follow it up with an official autobiography and a 2015 annual.

The currently untitled autobiography is set for release in September (14), and Natalie Jerome of publishing house HarperCollins says the book will tell the singers' story "in the kind of depth we've not seen before", adding, "It's a hugely exciting departure from the books we've published with them so far."

A picture-based annual will also be released in time for Christmas (25Dec14).
