One Direction rep denies This Is Us sequel
A representative for One Direction has denied filmmaker Morgan Spurlock's claim the boy band is filming a sequel to hit documentary This Is Us.
The director who helmed the hit 2013 behind-the-scenes film recently told the U.K.'s Daily Mirror newspaper that the fivesome will hit the big screen for a second time, and that "producer Ben Winston is with the band on their world tour filming what happens".
However, a rep for One Direction's Columbia Records label tells
Billboard the announcement was "false", stating, "Spurlock is not
involved with any filming with the band. There's always filming on
the road, but not for a second feature film."
The 3D concert film proved to be a success for the band, as it
debuted at number one at the U.S. box office, and has grossed $68
million worldwide.
The Story of My Life hitmakers are currently on an international
stadium tour.
