One Direction poke fun at break-up rumors
One Direction stars Harry Styles and Niall Horan have poked fun at reports suggesting one of the boy band stars has their sights set on a solo career in the near future.
Promoting their new tour movie in New York on Saturday (24Aug13), the pop hunks had a little fun when they were asked about the future of the group.
Horan joked, "Actually I'm doing a rap album. The gang will be
collaborating with me."
And Styles added, "Niall's doing a Christian rap album at the end
of the year!"
They then got serious to further address the reports the quintet
was set to become a quartet, at Styles stated, "The history of
bands is sometimes people do leave and sometimes things happen.
It's always gonna happen anytime there's a group, everybody's gonna
go, 'So, who's gonna leave? When is someone gonna leave?' We're far
too busy and don't have time to go off and do our own thing."
But Horan insisted the band would not be around forever: "I've got
really bad knees, so I don't think I'll be running around on stage
at 60 years old I'm afraid. I'm just telling you that now. I'm
confirming that I won't be in One Direction at 60 years old! That's
as far as my career goes."
