British pop star Olly Murs had a 31st birthday to remember on Thursday (14May15) when he was caught up in a bomb threat scare while filming the finale of TV show Germany's Next Top Model.

The Wrapped Up hitmaker was preparing to perform for 10,000 fans at Mannheim's SAP Arena when network officials reportedly evacuated the huge venue following a a bomb threat.

Local reports suggest police officials arrived on the scene to investigate as TV bosses cut to a movie instead of the scheduled TV finale.

Murs took to Twitter.com moments after he was forced out of the arena and wrote, "Ooh no Bomb scare @topmodel GERMANY!! We've all just been evacuated.. Scary s**t!!This is a birthday I'll never forget..."

The show's host and judge Heidi Klum was also among those asked to leave the SAP Arena.

A statement was later posted on TV network ProSieben's website, confirming that a "suspicious suitcase" was found in one of the dressing rooms and the SAP Arena was evacuated as a precaution.

Unable to perform, Murs flew back home to the U.K. to continue his birthday celebrations with family members and friends.

It is not known when the finale will be rescheduled.
