NO TOM CRUISE/WILL SMITH FILM FOR ANNA KENDRICK

Anna Kendrick insists she won't be a part of Tom Cruise and Will Smith's much-anticipated collaborative blockbuster, even though she was among the celebrities who showed up for a top secret table reading earlier this month (Jul10).

The actress was one of the stars spotted leaving Hollywood diner the Saddle Ranch after a meeting with Tom Cruise and Will Smith - but she claims she was just sitting in for pal Reese Witherspoon.

Anna Kendrick tells TV news show Access Hollywood, "It was just a table read, and you know, it’s a movie that’s in production so I’m not really at liberty to talk about it.

"I think I can safely say I’m not in it. I’m just standing in for Reese Witherspoon. They just asked me to do it and I was like, ‘Hell, yeah!’ It was fun, it was really fun."
