Nicole Scherzinger engaged to Lewis Hamilton - report

Pop star Nicole Scherzinger is reportedly set to wed her longtime boyfriend Lewis Hamilton, according to a U.K. report.

The former Pussycat Dolls singer and the ex-Formula 1 champion ended their five-year relationship last year (13), but got back together shortly afterwards.

Now the couple has decided to focus on the future after Scherzinger accepted the Brit's proposal, and they are putting plans in place for a summer (14) wedding.

A source tells Britain's Daily Star Sunday, "Lewis will be the main breadwinner when Nicole is not working and she will always have access to his private jet if she needs to travel.

"It is the ideal plan for both of them and will hopefully lead to a big summer wedding in August when Lewis has a three-week break from his F1 schedule."

The singer is currently Down Under with Hamilton, who started in pole position at the Australian Grand Prix on Sunday (16Mar14) but retired with engine problems after just four laps.
