Nicole Richie backs volunteer drive

Nicole Richie offered a helping hand at a New York City clean-up event on Tuesday (10Jul12).

The Fashion Star judge donned a pair of rubber gloves to restore a mosaic mural with a group of teenagers at the Jacob H. Schiff playground in the Big Apple.

High School Musical actor Corbin Bleu and TV host Maria Menounos also pitched in at the Bing Summer Of Doing event, part of a campaign to encourage students to help out in their local communities, while DJ Samantha Ronson provided the music.

Richie later took to her Twitter.com page to share a snap of herself with fellow participants, writing, "Check out volunteers' work today from the Bing Summer of ‪Doing‬ event... Get involved."
