Nicki Minaj show axed after DJ's slur

Nicki Minaj pulled out of a show in New Jersey on Sunday (03Jun12) after a radio DJ slated one of her songs.

The hip-hop star was due to perform on the bill at Hot 97's Summer Jam at the MetLife Stadium but pulled out hours before the concert.

The news was announced by rapper Lil Wayne - the boss of Minaj's record label Young Money Entertainment - and reportedly came after a Hot 97 presenter branded her hit Starships "wack".

In a post on Twitter.com on Sunday evening, the Lollipop hitmaker wrote, "Young Money ain't doing summer jam."
