Nicki Minaj joins Taylor Swift onstage

Nicki Minaj did double duty in Downtown Los Angeles on Sunday night (28Aug11), dashing from the MTV Video Music Awards to join Taylor Swift onstage across the street.

The rap star picked up Best Hip-Hop Video prize for Super Bass at the Nokia Theatre awards show and then stunned Swift's fans at the Staples Center by stepping out for a performance with the country star.

Sunday's show ended a four-night stint at the Staples Center for Swift and she made sure it was a star-packed run of shows, welcoming Justin Bieber, comedienne Ellen DeGeneres and Jason Mraz onstage, but it was Sunday's special guest who brought the house down with a performance of Super Bass.

Swift danced around and offered up a vocal assist on the chorus.

After the show, Swift tweeted, "The combination of the INSANE crowd tonight and @NICKIMINAJ joining me onstage for Superbass = #IwishthatIcouldhavethismoment4life."
