Nicki Minaj intervenes as brawl breaks out at gig
Nicki Minaj had to intervene at her concert in California after a violent brawl broke out in the audience, with one girl pepper sprayed in the face.
The Anaconda hitmaker was performing at the Concord Hill venue in the Bay Area on Friday (14Aug15) when mass violence broke out, with fans punching each other and chairs being thrown, TMZ.com reports.
Minaj is shown on a video shouting for the music to stop, and she
tells the girl who had been pepper sprayed to get onto the stage to
be treated.
Minaj says, "Bring her to the stage. The one that just got sprayed
with mace in the face. Come here."
She later addressed the brawl on Instagram.com, writing, "Sold out
show in the Bay Area last night. They were more than turnT (sic)...
Let's just say that. Lol. Can't wait to see u guys again."
Editors at TMZ.com report that despite the incident only one arrest
was a made - a 22-year-old man was cited for assaulting a security
guard.
