Nick Gordon's mom reveals her son and Bobbi Kristina rowed the night before near-drowning incident
Bobbi Kristina Brown's potential mother-in-law has revealed the troubled star and her son Nick Gordon fought hours before he found her face down and unresponsive in a bathtub at their Roswell, Georgia home.
During a TV interview-turned-intervention with self-help guru Dr. Phil McGraw, Gordon's mother Michelle explained her son and Bobbi Kristina slept in separate rooms the night before the incident on 31 January (15).
She told McGraw that her 25-year-old son and Brown had been
partying with a friend when things got heated, and Nick "walked
away" from the argument and locked himself away in a guest
bedroom.
Michelle revealed Brown "went up to her room and drew a bath".
Later, the couple's friend Max Lomas reportedly found her
unconscious in a bathtub after a cable repair man asked for
permission to get to her room. Gordon administered CPR until
paramedics arrived.
In the TV interview, which aired on Wednesday (11Mar15), Gordon's
mother told Dr. Phil, "Nicholas was able to do the CPR on her for
15 minutes. The police arrived, and they didn't help him. No one
helped him until the EMTs got there."
Brown was taken to a nearby hospital and later transferred to Emory
University Hospital in Atlanta, where she has remained in a
medically-induced coma.
Gordon, who has not been allowed to visit his girlfriend, has
turned to alcohol and drugs to help cope, according to his mother,
who added, "He has blamed himself for the condition she's in."
Michelle also revealed her son has attempted suicide twice,
stating, "He has said to me many times that he is going to kill
himself. Two weeks ago, he tried... He was able to throw up
pills.
"He cannot bear not being with Krissy, by her side. He's dealing
with it by drinking."
Clearly intoxicated for his TV meeting with McGraw, an agitated
Gordon walked out of the interview when the doctor urged him to
seek professional help.
McGraw said, "Nick, you’re out of control. You've threatened
suicide. You deserve to get some help because if you don’t, you
know you’re going to wind up dead."
Gordon checked into rehab shortly after his meeting with
McGraw.
