Nick Cannon and Rosie Perez to serve on Barclays Center advisory board
Nick Cannon and actress Rosie Perez are among those joining a new advisory board for the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
Officials at the popular Big Apple venue have comprised a group of nearly 30 of the top sports, entertainment and media executives to front the centre's first Sports & Entertainment Advisory Board.
New York native Perez and America's Got Talent host Cannon will
provide insight to the future of the venue, along with Justin
Bieber's manager Scooter Braun, fashion designer John Varvatos, and
president of leading country music record label, Big Machine Label
Group, Scott Borchetta.
As members of the Advisory Board, the stars will be involved in
planning for upcoming major events and programming strategy for the
venue.
Opened in 2012, the Barclays Center is home to basketball team the
Brooklyn Nets and is the third highest-grossing arena in the world
for concerts and events. Rapper Jay Z previously held an ownership
stake in the venue, but reportedly sold his $1.5 million share last
year (13).
