Niall Horan chart-topper gives One Direction star a feat shared by the Beatles
Niall Horan's number one album has given One Direction a Billboard chart feat matched only by the Beatles.
The Irish singer's new album Flicker debuted atop the Billboard 200 countdown on Sunday (29Oct17), making him the third member of the boy band to hit number one.
One Direction and The Beatles are now the only groups which can boast three chart-toppers from former members.
Horan follows Harry Styles and Zayn Malik, who also hit the top of the countdown with their debut solo albums.
Beatles George Harrison, John Lennon, and Paul McCartney have each topped the charts multiple times.
Ringo Starr has yet to land at number one on the Billboard 100 - his 1973 album Ringo almost made it but peaked at two.
Meanwhile, One Director stars Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson have yet to release solo albums.
