New daughter for James Van Der Beek
James Van Der Beek and his wife Kimberly have welcomed their fourth child, a baby girl.
The CSI: Cyber star announced the arrival of Emilia Van Der Beek on Friday (25Mar16) with a sweet snap on Instagram, confirming she had been born on Wednesday after a home birth.
The couple's newest addition is the center of a family photo James
shared on social media to announce the couple's new arrival.
Surrounded by her siblings Olivia, five, Joshua, four, and
two-year-old Annabel, and Kimberly, the Dawson's Creek star
captioned the shot, "Happy to share that two days ago, Kimberly and
I were lucky enough to welcome a little baby girl into the world...
Emilia Van Der Beek."
The 39-year-old also later wrote on Twitter, "Crazy how deeply in
love you can fall with someone you just met."
James and Kimberly announced the news they were expecting another
addition to their growing brood back in November (15). "So grateful
to share with you today that we’re pregnant with our fourth child!”
Kimberly captioned a photo on Instagram with her husband touching
her belly.
The couple married in August 2010, just four months after they
announced they were expecting their first child together. James had
previously been married to actress Heather McComb, splitting in
2009.
Before the birth of third child Annabel in 2014, the star told
People.com he was worried about how to deal with his ever-growing
family. "There are moments where we will be dealing with the two,
it will be a handful and I’ll think, ‘Well, this is about to get
even trickier.'"
However, a big family is just what the actor wanted.
"The kids are the best home base you could possibly have," he said.
"It tethers you to reality. I know that by the time I come home,
I’ll be brought right back to earth."
