Ne-Yo's album details fans' real-life experiences

R&B star Ne-Yo has his fans to thank for providing him with songwriting material for his new album after encouraging devotees to send in details of their real-life experiences for inclusion in his songs.

The So Sick hitmaker reveals he was inundated with stories from the public and he used them as inspiration for half of the tracks on his sixth studio release, Non-Fiction.

He explains, "I did something special with this album: a good 50 per cent of the songs on this album are based off of 100 per cent true stories that were given to me by my fans...

"I wanted to do something special for them and allow them to be a part of the creative process."
