Ne-Yo hints at split from longtime partner

Ne-Yo has posted a cryptic message on Twitter.com suggesting he has split from his longterm partner.

The So Sick hitmaker has two children with his girlfriend, Monyetta Shaw - Madilyn, two, and Mason, 21 months - and the couple was rumoured to have previously been planning to wed.

However, Ne-Yo has now suggested the relationship has come to an end by posting a picture of him and Shaw with the words, "Tho (Although) fate has decided to split our romantic paths. Know that I will always love you. Forever your partner. Forever your friend. Forever my miracle," adding, "Love never dies but it CAN change shape. Tho (although) romantically out (our) paths have split I'll always love you. Forever a father to ours + a best friend."

The messages prompted speculation over whether Ne-Yo has used the social networking website to end the relationship, but the singer later returned to the site to dismiss suggestions he dumped his partner on Twitter, adding, "People really think I woke up one morning and just ended my 4 year relationship on social media?... Really y'all (sic)? Hilarious."
