Naturi Naughton welcomes baby girl

Actress and singer Naturi Naughton has given birth to her first child.

The Power star and her longtime boyfriend welcomed a baby girl, whose name has not been revealed, on Wednesday (19Jul17).

The 33-year-old, who rose to fame as a member of popular R&B trio 3LW, announced her pregnancy in March (17), revealing the baby was not planned.

"It's been a little surreal, but I feel really good, healthy and strong," she told People shortly after discovering she was to become a mom. "It's a really amazing responsibility, but it's such a blessing and that to me is worth more than anything I can imagine.

"I feel like being pregnant and entering this new stage has made me stronger and more excited about life in general. Everything seems so much more purposeful."

She found out she was expecting while in the middle of filming Power and she praised her co-stars, especially onscreen husband Omari Hardwick, for keeping the news quiet and being supportive.

Talking about her pregnancy cravings earlier this year (17), the new mom said, "I love kale, I love strawberries and pineapples, but I’m not proud of this... I’ve been eating Cup Noodles. I really want salty, spicy things, and Cup Noodles has been really awesome."

The singer is also known for playing Lil' Kim in Notorious B.I.G. drama Notorious and for her role in the 2009 Fame remake.

The star has yet to fully identify the baby's father, revealing nothing but his first name, Ben.
