British folk rockers Mumford & Sons made a splash in New York on Thursday (22Aug13) by ordering revellers at a top members club to jump in a pool during their performance.
The band was the entertainment at the Soho House New York 10th anniversary bash, which attracted a crowd including frontman Marcus Mumford's wife Carey Mulligan, Kyle MacLachlan, Jennifer Connolly and her husband Paul Bettany.
During their set, bandmember Winston Marshall urged the crowd to
jump into the rooftop pool, saying, "I'm not a mathematician, but
there are only a few of you in the pool", prompting many revellers
to take a dip.
John Legend then joined the rockers onstage for a surprise
performance.
