Miranda Lambert keeping rescue dog

Miranda Lambert is overjoyed after her husband Blake Shelton agreed to let her keep an abandoned dog she found on the side of the road.

The animal-loving star has made a habit of rescuing stray pooches, and just last month (May12) the Over You hitmaker discovered a pup next to a busy freeway.

Lambert named the dog Loretta and had planned on finding it a suitable new home, but she grew emotionally attached and begged Shelton to let her keep it - and now she's gotten her way.

In a post on her Twitter.com page alongside a picture of the black mutt, she writes, "It's official! Blake said we could keep Loretta! She is happy!"
