Miranda Lambert breaks down serenading cancer sufferer at show

Country star Miranda Lambert was left choked up during a show in Texas on Saturday (13Sep14) after struggling with her emotions as she serenaded a young cancer-stricken fan.

The singer was performing Over You, a track she penned with her husband Blake Shelton about a fatal car accident which claimed the life of his older brother Richie, and she fought back tears as she held hands with seven-year-old Brooke Hester, who was sitting in the front row at the gig in Corpus Christi.

In video footage of the heartwarming segment, Lambert appears to be so visibly moved by Hester's health struggles, she repeatedly wipes away tears as the crowd helps her complete the track.
