Minka Kelly: 'I've never dated Wilmer Valderrama'

Actress Minka Kelly is laughing off reports suggesting she is romantically involved with Wilmer Valderrama, insisting they are just "good friends" who have never dated.

The Friday Night Lights star was briefly linked to Wilmer in 2012, and recent rumours alleged the couple had rekindled its relationship after enjoying what appeared to be a romantic vacation in Mexico.

Photos from the weekend getaway emerged days after the stars were snapped leaving Hollywood's Palms Thai Restaurant together.

However, Minka is now speaking out to set the record straight, insisting she and Wilmer have always just been close pals, despite the constant speculation.

"He's a good friend to me," she told Los Angeles' Power 106 radio station on Thursday (08Sep16), "and it's funny - he's not my ex. We are good friends, and we always have been. We're not exes!"

She added, "Wilmer's a really, really good person, and any woman would be lucky to have him."

Minka previously dated baseball great Derek Jeter, and last year (15), she reportedly reunited with on/off love, Captain America's Chris Evans.

The actress admits unfounded rumours about her personal life are often annoying, but she recognises the tabloid attention "comes with the territory", and there's nothing she can do but brush it off.

"It's a small price to pay for the extraordinary life that I live," she confessed. "I think if they're paying attention, that must mean there's something (I'm doing right)."

"Look, if it's true and it's out, then it's true and it's out," she continued. "When it's not true and it's out, it's really frustrating. You just have to find the comedy in all of it."

Wilmer has yet to comment on the gossip surrounding his relationship with Minka, but he counts Mandy Moore, Lindsay Lohan, and Demi Lovato among his exes. He split from the Confident singer in June (16).
