Millie Bobby Brown's mother hated her Stranger Things buzz cut
Millie Bobby Brown's mother encouraged her to wear wigs because she hated her Stranger Things buzz cut so much.
The 13-year-old British actress plays the mysterious Eleven on the hit Netflix show, which recently returned for a second season on the streaming service. The new series gives Millie a lot more lines than the first, and also allows her to mix things up in terms of her hair - something her mother is very grateful for.
"The buzz cut is gone. I shaved it for series one. My mom didn’t like it. I said, ‘Mum I have to’. She looked at like, 'Ew, let's put some wigs on!'" Millie laughed during an appearance on This Morning on Monday (30Oct17).
"But then she loved it by the end of it. It’s a nice little bob, we’re getting there. We collaborated about what Eleven’s hair would look like. Later on in the season her hair changes into more a punk rock hairstyle. Spoiler!"
Eleven's language in the second series has also matured, with Millie admitting she gets to swear. After a back and forth between presenter Phillip Schofield about whether she could say the word in question, Millie eventually revealed the curse word is "b**ching", giggling as she did.
"Eleven is a different type of person," she said. "She's developing more, she has superpowers, she's also a teenager. I think it's relatable to teen girls, she doesn't know what's going on!'"
With her success on Stranger Things, Millie is balancing her acting career with her education, and studies at home in between her professional commitments.
And speaking about why she has a home education, Millie added: "I’ve experienced school already and I know I don’t want to go back."
