Miley Cyrus reaches out to dad in wake of divorce news

Miley Cyrus has dispelled rumors of a rift between herself and dad Billy Ray Cyrus by reaching out to him on Father's Day (16Jun13).

The pop singer appeared to slam Billy Ray in a tweet earlier this week (ends16Jun13) shortly after her mother Tish filed papers to end her 19-year marriage to the country star, citing irreconcilable differences.

In a post on Twitter.com, Miley wrote to her father, "Billy Ray Cyrus, since your text and email obviously aren't working would you like to talk like this?" The Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker did not respond, and Miley proceeded to share a photo of herself with her mother and younger sister Noah, along with the caption, "The baddest b**ches in the world."

However, Miley put aside any drama on Sunday (16Jun13) and sent her love to Billy Ray, writing, "Happy Daddy Day Billy Ray Cyrus."

Billy Ray previously kicked off divorce proceedings in 2010, but the couple - parents to five children, including Miley and Noah - quickly reconciled and he later dropped the request.
