Miley Cyrus not interested in judging Britain's The X Factor
A representative for pop superstar Miley Cyrus has shot down rumors suggesting she is poised to join Simon Cowell on the judging panel of Britain's The X Factor.
The music mogul and show creator has previously admitted he would be interested to hear what the Wrecking Ball hitmaker had to say about the wannabes trying out for the reality competition, admitting, "She has an opinion, for sure".
And reports this week (begs24Mar14) suggested Cyrus, who is
currently on her Bangerz tour, was a frontrunner for a role as a TV
judge, but the singer's spokesperson has dismissed the claims,
sarcastically telling the Mirror.co.uk, "Simon has more chance of
getting Elvis or Gandhi as a judge."
Cowell recently announced that British pop star Cheryl Cole would
be returning to the judging panel on The X Factor in the U.K.,
three years after she famously tried and failed to make the
transition to the U.S. to launch the show with the industry veteran
there. She was dropped from the 2011 line-up in America after
filming just two audition rounds. The Stateside version was axed in
February (14) after three seasons.
Meanwhile, Cowell has also denied speculation Rihanna is in talks
to sit beside himself and Cole as a judge, saying, "I never spoke
to her... I don't think she'd be available because of her
commitments this year."
