Miley Cyrus: 'I'm only having one wedding and I want it to be perfect'
Miley Cyrus has dismissed suggestions she will host three lavish ceremonies when she marries fiance Liam Hemsworth, insisting there will be just one wedding and she wants it to be "perfect".
The singer/actress is busy planning her nuptials after becoming engaged to the Australian hunk in June (12) and her father Billy Ray Cyrus recently sparked rumours the stars would tie the knot over the course of three wedding parties.
However, the former Hannah Montana star is adamant her big day will
only happen once and she wants it to pan out just like a romantic
movie.
She tells TV host Ellen DeGeneres, "This is the one day when it's
what I choose and every detail is things that I love... There is
some rumour going around that I'm having like 47 weddings. I'm not.
I'm having one wedding. That's my day and whatever I want on that
day will be about me and that moment... That's what I picture, that
moment when he first gets to see me in my dress and everything all
together.
"It has to be perfect. It has to be like the soundtrack in like a
movie. It's the one day that that movie c**p is real. That romance.
That look (between the bride and groom) is the time that you get
that."
Cyrus also reveals her wedding day might be a long time away
because she needs months to plan the details, adding, "I don't want
to in between touring and trying to plan all that. I didn't really
realise until I got a wedding planning book what you have to decide
on. Like, I don't care what colour the napkins are to be honest...
It's a lot of weird detail. I don't want to be doing too much and
be crazy."
The Ellen DeGeneres Show airs on 8 November (12).
