Miley Cyrus' homeless pal puts her MTV award on eBay - report

Jesse Helt, who was Miley Cyrus' date to the Mtv Video Music Awards in 2014, is reportedly selling the Moonman trophy she gave him on auction website eBay.

The Wrecking Ball hitmaker sent her 'date' Jesse to accept her Video of the Year award at the annual prizegiving ceremony two years ago, and he revealed he was homeless during his speech, during which he urged the star-studded crowd to help raise awareness about displaced youngsters across the country.

Now sources tell TMZ Helt is cashing in on his short-lived fame, and is selling the award online.

The Moonman trophy, which is engraved with the singer's name and Jesse's, is listed on eBay with a starting bid of $10,000. Bidders can also buy the trophy outright for $15,000.

Jesse is reportedly selling the award to raise money in time for the birth of his child, due in a few months.

A representative for Miley has yet to comment on the report.
