Miley Cyrus' home burgled on the day before her birthday

Miley Cyrus had an unwelcome surprise as she was preparing to celebrate her 21st birthday on Friday (22Nov13) - burglars reportedly broke into a Studio City, California home, which is believed to be hers.

Police are refusing to name names but the address listed is that of Cyrus' property.

Reports suggest the authorities were called to the home on Friday afternoon (22Nov13). There was no evidence of a forced entry and no intruder was spotted at the property, but the unidentified homeowner has told investigators that some personal items were taken.

The alleged burglary took place the day before Miley's birthday. The singer spent her big day rehearsing for her American Music Awards performance on Sunday (24Nov13).
