Mick Jagger's model daughter cancels runway show
Sir Mick Jagger's supermodel daughter Georgia May Jagger has cancelled an appearance at a fashion show and rushed to her father's side following the death of the rocker's longtime girlfriend.
The Rolling Stones star's partner of more than a decade, fashion designer L'Wren Scott, was found dead at her New York City apartment on Monday (17Mar14) and the veteran rocker has cancelled his band's show in Perth, Australia in the aftermath of the tragedy.
Jagger is believed to be flying back to the Big Apple from
Australia, and his model daughter Georgia is set to be by his side
after calling off her own work commitments. The blonde beauty, who
was also in Australia when news of Scott's death broke, has pulled
out of a runway show for fashion house Camilla in Melbourne this
week (beg17Mar14).
A statement from the brand reads, "In light of the recent sad news,
Georgia May Jagger will not be participating in Virgin Australia
Melbourne Fashion Festival for the Camilla Grand Showcase. We ask
that you respect Ms Jagger and her family's privacy at this very
difficult time. We offer our sincere condolences to Ms Jagger and
her family."
